Pakistan’s most advanced electric SUV, designed in Turin, powered by Huawei, built by Changan.
The Deepal S07 is priced at PKR 1.50 Crore (PKR 14,999,000) ex-factory in Pakistan. It is currently available in a single EV variant, a rear-wheel drive electric SUV with up to 485 km of range on a single charge, a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen running HarmonyOS, and Huawei’s intelligent driving assistance system built in as standard.
Deepal is the dedicated electric vehicle brand of Changan Automobile, developed in partnership with Huawei for smart driving technology and CATL for battery systems. The S07 was designed by an Italian design team in Turin, a detail that shows in its coupe-like silhouette and the frameless door design that is unlike anything else in Pakistan’s current EV market.

The S07 is not simply an EV slotted into a conventional SUV body. It was built from the ground up as an electric vehicle on Changan’s EPA1 platform, which means the floor is flat, the weight distribution is optimised for an electric drivetrain, and the interior space is maximised without the compromises of converting a petrol platform.
The exterior carries a drag coefficient of 0.258 Cd, meaningfully low for a mid-size SUV, achieved through frameless doors, flush door handles, aerodynamic body shaping, and a coupe-style roofline. The “Star Petal” DRL design and illuminated rear logo are distinctive at night and give the car a presence that reads as genuinely premium rather than merely expensive.
The cabin is described as “yacht-inspired”, a phrase that makes more sense once you see the wraparound dashboard design. The centrepiece is a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen running Deepal OS 4.0 on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. A 12.3-inch co-pilot screen sits in front of the passenger. A 55-inch AR-HUD (Augmented Reality Head-Up Display) projects navigation and speed data onto the windscreen at a scale that overlays naturally with the real road ahead.
Front seats are heated and ventilated. The co-pilot seat has a massage function. 50W wireless charging is standard. The ambient lighting system and panoramic sunroof complete an interior that competes with luxury EVs sold at significantly higher prices in other markets.
The Huawei Qiankun ADS SE (Advanced Driving System) uses a camera-based vision solution for intelligent assisted driving, no lidar required. It provides:
This system comes standard in the Pakistan variant, it is not an optional extra.
The S07 supports DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes. AC home charging (Level 2, 11 kW onboard charger) takes approximately 7–8 hours for a full charge from near-empty.
The car also supports V2L (Vehicle to Load), it can power external electrical equipment up to 3.3 kW from the car’s battery. This means you can run appliances, charge laptops, or even power tools directly from the car during a power outage or on a camping trip.
The Deepal S07 comes with 6 airbags as standard, driver, passenger, and side curtain airbags. Additional safety equipment includes ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, a 360-degree camera system, and the full Huawei ADAS suite described above.
The S07 is available in six colours: Comet White, Eclipse Black, Nebula Green, Lunar Grey, Sunset Orange, and Cosmic Yellow. The orange and yellow options in particular are unusual for a Pakistani market, they signal a buyer who wants their EV to stand out rather than blend in.
The Deepal S07 is priced at PKR 14,999,000 (PKR 1.50 Crore) ex-factory in Pakistan. This is currently for the single EV variant available locally. On-road price will be higher after registration and documentation.
The Deepal S07 has an NEDC-rated range of up to 485 km on a single full charge. Real-world range in mixed driving conditions in Pakistan will typically be 350–420 km depending on speed, AC use, and road conditions.
DC fast charging takes approximately 35 minutes from 30% to 80%. A full home charge on AC (Level 2, 11 kW) takes approximately 7–8 hours.

At PKR 1.50 Crore, the Deepal S07 positions itself in Pakistan’s emerging premium EV segment. The specification, 485 km range, Huawei ADAS, 15.6-inch touchscreen, 6 airbags, 360-degree cameras, and a genuinely premium interior, represents strong value against global EV benchmarks at this price point.
The honest caveat for Pakistani buyers is infrastructure: DC fast charging is still limited to major cities, and home charging requires either a dedicated charger installation or overnight AC charging. For buyers who drive primarily within city limits and have home charging access, the S07 makes a compelling case. For intercity heavy users, charging network availability is the question to answer before purchase.
